For a time, in my early days of writing poetry, I was more focused on trying to get them published in various collections or contests.  I gave up on that after a couple years, in part because as I felt my poems were getting better, and more emotionally sophisticated, they were also getting longer, and most of the contests were for shorter poems that I was almost never writing anymore.  The more recent, longer poems that I actually like better, can be found at the Poetry Blog link to the right, or a selection of the better ones can be found at the poetry link to the right where I've collected some of my better unpublished poems.  All the poems after the first three are linked to their location on the poetry blog.
