Lifelong LearningLinguistics
Phonetics Phonetics is the subfield of linguistics
in which the production and properties of sound are studied. This
field deals with anatomical matters as well as properties of sound. It
is closing linked to
Phonology,
especially through the rapidly developing approach to phonology known as
functional phonology. My paper on
the ordering of
consonant clusters in Greek rests on a functional phonological
component.
